Check-in

Guests check in at our Poipu shop location at 7:00 am. Return times can vary, but 3:00 pm is a good estimate.

What to wear and bring

We recommend you bring a swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, windbreaker or light raincoat, sport-type sandals or aqua socks, waterproof sunscreen, billed hat with keeper, sun-glasses with keeper, towel, and waterproof camera. These items can be purchased at our Poipu shop. We also recommend over-the-counter medication (try Bonine) for seasickness that won’t cause drowsiness- best taken the night before the tour, as well as the day of the tour.

Food & Drink

This tour includes a great lunch. Your choice is either a Turkey Watercress Wrap (smoked turkey, watercress, cream cheese, sprouts, cucumber, tomato, onion, and black olives in a tortilla), or a Mediterranean Veggie Wrap (hummus, lettuce, tomato, kalamata olives, cucumber, and feta cheese in a tortilla). Lunch comes with pasta salad and a chocolate chip cookie. Cold drinks are available thoughout the day. There’s lots of room in the kayak, so feel free to bring along additional drinks and snacks such as sports drinks and energy-boosting snacks – no alcoholic beverages, please.

Restrictions For This Tour

While this tour is best enjoyed by people who are physically fit and have some basic paddling experience, you may join us as a first time kayaker if you consider yourself to be athletically inclined and quick to learn new sports. Participants should enjoy a workout, and be up for an exciting challenge! No children under 12 or non-swimmers, please.

Warning: If you are prone to severe seasickness this trip is not for you. If you feel that you may get nauseous, but not severely so, we recommend motion sickness medicine such as Bonine, Dramamine, or Triptone (over the counter).
