WHAT TO EXPECT
Onto the ranch
Your day begins with a scenic journey into the heart of Kīpū Ranch, where private roads and trails lead far beyond the places most visitors ever experience. As you hike through tropical forests and open valleys, your guides share stories about the ranch's rich history, the native plants and wildlife that thrive here, and the cultural significance of this remarkable landscape.
Kīpū Treehouse
Tucked into the valley beside a cascading waterfall, the treehouse overlooks the Kīpū stream below and is surrounded by lush tropical forest. It’s also part of Outfitters Kauai history, home to our original zipline course, where we introduced Hawaiʻi’s first commercial zipline more than 20 years ago.
It’s a beautiful spot to slow down, take in the waterfall and valley, and experience a piece of the adventure history that began right here at Kīpū Ranch.
Kīpū Falls
The trail eventually opens to Kīpū Falls, one of Kauai’s most storied waterfalls. Closed to public access for nearly 15 years, this iconic spot is now accessible again exclusively through private access on Kīpū Ranch. Cool mountain water cascades into a natural swimming hole surrounded by volcanic rock and lush tropical greenery. Take time to swim (conditions permitting), capture photos, or simply enjoy the rare opportunity to experience Kīpū Falls again.
