Guide Spotlight

Haylen is the kind of guide who somehow manages to keep everyone safe and laughing at the same time. If your zipline tour includes great views, high energy, and a few “did she really just say that?” moments… yep, that’s Haylen.
Born on Oʻahu, raised in Texas, and now fully in her Kauaʻi era, she spends her days flying through the treetops and her off days camping in Kōkeʻe, shell hunting, or adventuring with her pup, who honestly might be the real main character.
She’s also known for whipping up an impressive pasta or crème brûlée, though zipline snacks remain a hard no (gravity is not forgiving).
With Haylen as your guide, expect epic views, nonstop laughs, and an adventure that’s anything but boring.
‘Iki Nui: Stories from the Island

February on Kauaʻi is a time of connection. The land remains lush from winter rains, waterfalls continue to flow, and the island invites a slower, more mindful pace. It’s a season that encourages presence, shared experience, and respect for the rhythms of nature.
In Hawaiian culture, connection to ʻāina and to each other is essential. Moving through the land together, whether by zipline, paddle, or foot, is a way to honor the places that sustain us and the stories they hold.
As the season unfolds, we’re grateful for the land, our community, and the experiences that bring people together. May February inspire thoughtful exploration, meaningful connection, and memories grounded in the spirit of Kauaʻi.
Word on the Zipline

We has a fantastic time with Outfitters Kauai! We took the kayaking river hike to hidden waterfalls tour and it was a great trip: easy kayaking (I was a beginner); beautiful setting; easy hike; and multiple waterfalls! Nick was our guide who knows his plants, Hawaiian folklore, and history of the island and its people. Nice guy too. Everything you would want in a personal guide, hands down! Capt. Tony met us up river and we rode back in his boat, the kayaks in tow. Couldn’t have been easier or more fun. Well worth the price!
