Your Kauai Connection – June 2025

Aloha Ohana!

Welcome to our very first newsletter from Outfitters Kauai! We’re so glad you’re here.

From local legends to wild rides, we’re excited to share stories, tips, and behind-the-scenes moments from the heart of the island we call home.

Mahalo for being part of our ‘ohana—let’s explore together.

Tour Spotlight: AdrenaLine

This is not your grandma’s zipline tour. (Unless your grandma is an absolute savage.)

Our AdrenaLine Zipline is made for thrill-seekers who want to fly faster, higher, and longer. Think jungle-to-mountain views, sky-high platforms, and a final line that’ll have you soaring superhero-style. No hand brakes. No fluff. Just pure, unfiltered fun.

Guide Spotlight

Meet Michael – From Land Surveyor to Zipline Adventure Guide

After 20 years as a land surveyor, Michael swapped the office for the jungle—and never looked back. Now he’s living the dream on Kaua‘i with his wife and three keiki (including twin toddlers and a baby… the real thrill ride).

When he’s not flying through the treetops or chasing wild pigs (still undefeated), he’s snapping photos of Kaua‘i’s epic landscapes.

His favorite tour? The Kipu Safari—a little bit of everything, just like Michael.

Next time you’re out there, say aloha and ask him for his craziest story!

‘Iki Nui: Stories from the Island

Kaikane, a legendary warrior of Kaua‘i, is said to have been laid to rest through the sacred practice of huna kupapaʻu—a traditional Hawaiian burial in which the exact location is hidden to preserve the warrior’s mana (spiritual power).

According to local legend, Kaikane’s remains were placed in a secret cave on Mount Haʻupu, where his spirit still watches over the island’s valleys, rivers, and people.

Want to hear the full story?

Our guides love to share this moʻolelo while you explore the same landscapes Kaikane once protected—by zipline, kayak, and canoe.

Adventure meets legend on every tour.
